Help us grow the Library’s collection by “adopting” a book to live on our shelves! Your selection will be commemorated by a book plate and become part of the Library’s collection.

Adopt-a-Book

Cherish the classics while expanding the Library’s book collection! At the annual Adopt-a-Book event, you have the chance to grow the Library’s inventory, choosing books you know readers will enjoy. Each item you “adopt” stays at the Library, becoming part of our collection — but you get dibs on checking it out first!

Each book will have a nameplate affixed to the inside cover, naming you as the donor or recognizing your donation in honor of a loved one. If you are unable to attend, please consider supporting the Library with an online donation. We will “adopt” books on your behalf, noting your contribution on the nameplate. All purchases are tax-deductible as donations to the Library.

Be the first to browse the books! A special preview will be held for Friends members from 5-6 p.m. prior to the event. If you are not a Friends member and would like to join, please visit www.friendsofLPL.org and click on Membership & Volunteering.
