Lancaster Public Library is pleased to offer free computer classes to the public. Classes are given by experienced library volunteers.
 
Excel (Level I) introduces you to the concepts of a digital spreadsheet and some of the basic functions found in Microsoft Excel. Using the Office 2016 version, you’ll learn about the following:
  • What is Excel?
  • Screen layout
  • Entering data
  • Repeating data
  • Creating a sequence
  • Rows and columns
  • Formatting data
  • Manual calculations
  • Functions
  • Sorting data
  • Copy and paste
Where: Computer Training Room on the second floor of the Lancaster City library
 
When: July 10, 11, 12, and 13 from 10:15am-12:00pm. Registration is required and please do so only if you can attend all of the sessions listed for the class. Failure to do so will result in your exclusion from registration for a six-month period. Please make every effort to show up on time. The doors to the Computer Training Room will be locked at 10:25am, and no one will be allowed to enter after that time. 
 
Prerequisites: Word or equivalent experience. A Lancaster County library card in good standing. Must be 18 or older.
Class size is capped at ten students, and priority will be given to newcomers. Therefore, we reserve the right to cancel the registration of a student if s/he has taken the class multiple times. 
 
Metered parking is available on Duke Street and behind the library. The Duke Street Garage is also across the street from the library.
