Lancaster Public Library is pleased to offer free computer classes to the public. Classes are given by experienced volunteers
Introduction to Computers, Level One provides basic-level instruction on how to use a PC running the Windows 2016 operating system.
Skills taught include: Basic Terminology * Keyboard * Mouse * Single, Double, and Right Click * Click and Drag * Start Menu * Shut Down * Folders * Rename Folder or File * Delete Key * Minimize, Maximize, Close, & Resize Windows * Multiple Windows * Scroll Bars * Blinking Cursor * Editing Text * Backspace Key * Delete Key * Create a File * Cut, Copy, Paste
Where: Computer Training Room on the second floor of the library.
When: November 20, 27, December 4, and 11 from 6-7:45pm.
Registration is required and please do so only if you can attend all of the sessions listed for the class. Failure to do so will result in your exclusion from registration for a six-month period.
Please make every effort to show up on time. The doors to the Computer Training Room will be locked at 6:10, and no one will be allowed to enter after that time.
Prerequisites: Must have a Lancaster County library card in good standing. Must be 18 or older.
Class size is capped at eight students, and priority will be given to newcomers. Therefore, we reserve the right to cancel the registration of a student if s/he has taken the class multiple times. Please call the reference desk at 394-2651 x128 with any questions.
Metered parking is available on Duke Street and behind the library. The Duke Street Garage is also across the street from the library.
