  • Have you ever felt immobilized by a racist comment?
  • Have you ever lost your cool when talking about race?
  • Do you feel like you are pulling away from family members and friends because you don’t agree with their perspectives on race?
  • Do you wish you could say something that reflects your values in the moment?

If you answered yes to any of these questions this session is for you.

Amanda Kemp is the author of Say the Wrong Thing: Stories and Strategies of Racial Justice and Authentic Community.

A Visiting Scholar in Africana Studies, she has led many workshops and trainings on racial justice, inclusion and equity. Her Strategies of the H.E.A.R.T.
