Gently Used Book Donations

Proceeds from the sale of your gently used books directly benefits Lancaster Public Library and its patrons by helping to close the gap in public funding we need to carry out our important community mission. Thank you for your support!

Mondays and Wednesdays | 10AM-12PM

Volunteers will be on hand at the Book ReSort (located at 225 N. Marshall Street, Lancaster) to accept your donations of gently used books, DVDs, CDs, & vinyl records.

Know before you go. . .

✅ Donated items must be bagged or boxes
✅ 10 bags or boxes of donated items/person
✅ Bags and boxes should be brought to the ReSort’s back door, located off of Fulton Street
✅ We regret we cannot accept: Reader’s Digest condensed books, VHS tapes, music cassettes, magazines, or pre-2000 encyclopedia sets

Please do NOT leave your donations outside the Book ReSort.

Please do NOT drop off donations at the Lancaster City Branch.

We are temporarily unable to accept book donations at the Mountville Branch.
