Donations of gently used books, DVDs, CDs, and vinyl records are accepted Mondays and Wednesdays, 10am-12pm, and the first Saturday of the month, 10am-1pm, at the Book ReSort, 225 N. Marshall Street, Lancaster.

We regret we cannot accept the following:

  • Music cassettes
  • VHS tapes
  • Reader’s Digest Condensed Books
  • Magazines
  • Pre-2000 Encyclopedia Sets

Leola & Mountville Branches

Book and DVD donations are accepted at the Leola and Mountville Branches during regular business hours. Due to limited storage space, these locations can only accept two to three boxes from one donor at a time. Therefore, if you have multiple boxes to donate, please bring them to the Book ReSort on Marshall Street.

We are so grateful for your donations! Proceeds from the sale of YOUR used books directly benefits Lancaster Public Library and its patrons by helping to close the 63% gap in public funding we need to carry out our important community mission.
