Proctoring

Lancaster Public Library offers limited proctoring services.

Proctoring is scheduled by appointment only. Please contact the Library at least a week in advance to schedule, as we may not be able to accommodate every request. The fee is $25 for the first 2 hours, and $25 for each additional hour. Payment is made by cash, credit card, or check after completion of the exam.

The space provided for testing is in a quiet room, but please be aware that there may be library and street noise. Mailed exams must be prepaid by the institution or student, and will be sent via USPS. It is the student’s responsibility to make all necessary arrangements with the institution and the Library. The Library will not contact the institution or instructor on the student’s behalf. Exams may be rescheduled or canceled in case of inclement weather or other unforeseen Library closings or emergencies. Refunds can only be given in case of these circumstances.

The librarian will review all provided proctor instructions and confirm that the Library is an eligible testing location. Please note that not all institutions accept public libraries as testing locations, and that the Library may not meet all requirements.

For questions, or to schedule an exam, contact the Adult Services Department at 717-394-2651 x1122 or askus@lancasterpubliclibrary.org.
