Getting Here
We are located in downtown Lancaster, just one block north of Penn Square on the 100 block of N. Queen Street. Our building is situated across the street from Binns Park, and is easily accessible by foot, bike, bus, or car.
Numerous parking options are available within close proximity to Ewell Plaza, including on-street parking, as well as several parking garages.
- Our Queen Street location anchors the Christian Street Parking Garage.
- As a tenant of the Lancaster Parking Authority, the Library does not control parking decisions; regular parking fees will be charged.
- There is a Library Book Drop Only parking spot (5-minute limit) at the end of E. Marion Street (accessible from Duke Street) if someone is making a quick dash into the building.
- Additionally, there are two book drops located on N. Christian Street, behind the library and accessible by foot, bike, or car.
- We recommend parking in the 5-minute Library Book Drop Only spot (situated on the northeast corner of E. Marion and N. Christian Streets) and walking around the corner to the drops—they’re about 100 feet away.
- If it’s more convenient, you can drive by the drops by turning right onto Christian Street from Chestnut Street.
- Library Lover tip: North Christian Street is one-way, going south
