The next time you visit a branch of the Lancaster Public Library, you may be surprised to see more than books on our shelves!
American Girl Dolls
Have you or someone you know always wanted an American Girl doll? Did you know you could borrow a doll for free from the Lancaster Public Library and its branches? Our American Girl dolls come in many different characters from specific historical eras.
Explorer Bags
Each Branch has at least two activity kits with supplies needed to go out, observe nature, and collect a few items to bring home for further inspection.
Harp Lending Library
Thanks to AseraCare, you can borrow a beautiful Marini Made Harp from Lancaster Public Library Mountville Branch. Included with the bass minstrel harp is Sylvia Woods’ “Teach Yourself to Play the Harp”, as well as tuning instructions.
Hotspots
To increase internet access across Lancaster County, we added mobile WiFi hotspots to our collection in March 2018. For a small fee, library cardholders can access high-speed internet service almost anywhere – at home, on the go, or somewhere in between!
Museum Passes
The Family Museum Pass program provides free entry to families into participating museums.
Outdoor and Board Games
We have a fantastic collection of Outdoor and Board Games available for check-out! All games must be picked up and returned to our Lancaster City location.
Specialty Baking Pans
Specialty baking pans like Elmo, Halloween-themed pans, McQueen from Cars, Mickey or Minnie Mouse, Spider-Man and many more can be checked out at the Lancaster City location.
Ukuleles
Did you know you can borrow ukuleles from the library? And, that’s not all! A carrying bag, illustrated starter guide and a chromatic tuner are all included.
