Native american heritage month

Native American Heritage Month invites us to learn from the stories that came before our own. In 1990, President George H. W. Bush declared November Native American Heritage Month in an effort to recognize the history and cultural importance of the first Americans. Our librarians curated a reading list that honors the cultures, histories, and importance of indigenous communities in the United States. We invite you to learn more about our nation’s history by choosing to read some of the books listed below.
