Updated: Thursday, March 13

Last month, the Lancaster Public Library – Lancaster City Branch experienced significant flooding on the building’s first floor. The building will remain closed for the rest of the week (though we are providing limited services from the LPL outreach van, parked outside the library in Ewell Plaza), BUT we WILL see you soon!

We will reopen the library’s 2nd floor on Monday, March 17.

Though it won’t be business as usual right away, we are SO excited to welcome you back into the building.

During open hours, patrons can:

  • BROWSE and BORROW from the Children’s and Young Adult collections, as well as a selection of materials from the first floor
    • The Children’s Library will be open as usual
      • While everyone is welcome to browse and borrow materials from the Children’s Library, seating is reserved for the use of families and individuals with children.
    • The Young Adult Library will be open as usual
      • While everyone is welcome to browse and borrow materials from the Young Adult collection, seating is reserved for the use of teens and young adults, ages 13-22.
