‘Tis the season for snuggling up with a good book
Cozy up to a Lancaster winter with our Winter Reading Challenge!
December 1 – January 31
Winter weather will be here before we know it.
That means cold, dark evenings that are perfect for spending time with a good book
Read to your heart’s content then pick up a review bookmark at either Lancaster Public Library location, fill it out, and return it for a chance to win prizes!
18+ please.
Don’t worry, kids! We won’t let the grown-ups have all the fun. This winter, you get to
Read for the Bead!
How it works:
- Visit either Lancaster Public Library location to pick up a Winter Reading Challenge tracking/registration sheet
- Track the number of minutes you read between December 1 and January 31
- Receive a bead for every 15 minutes you read
- Things get interesting each time children complete two full hours of reading! That’s when the bonus “special” beads make an appearance!
- Return to either LPL location with your tracking sheet to get your chain & brag tag
⭐ Remember to redeem your reading time for beads each visit to the library!
Can you read for a total of 24 hours to fill your chain and earn all 96 regular beads and 12 special beads?
